Experienced leadership across technology and industry innovation
The team brings together decades of international leadership across insurance, financial services, digital health, and technology-driven ventures. With senior experience at global organisations including AIG, Zurich, Chubb, and leading innovation initiatives in insurtech, IoT, and patient-centric healthcare, Alan, Rob, and Mitch combine strategic insight, entrepreneurial thinking, and deep industry expertise to develop new models that improve risk understanding, health outcomes, and customer value.
Alan Lewis
Co-Founder
Alan, while working with Rob and Mitch - alongside various specialist partner providers in the development of the respective services and arrangements - devised the InnovalUwise concept and model. He is an international insurance and technology executive and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Alan has held senior leadership roles at global brands including AIG, Zurich, and Chubb, and now focuses on innovation at the intersection of industry, data, and technology. Alan works with ventures exploring new models for digital and customer engagement. An operationally hands-on leader with diverse cross industry experience. He holds various industry and educational qualifications, including a BSc. Hns.
Rob Volkert
Co-Founder
Rob is an international insurance executive and entrepreneur with more than 40 years of experience in insurance innovation, financial protection solutions, and business development. He has held senior leadership roles at global insurers including Chubb and Cigna, and has founded and led multiple ventures in the insurance and financial services sector. He has held multiple senior management positions in Europe and Asia.
Mitch Silva
Co-Founder
Mitch is a health innovation entrepreneur and PhD with over 20 years of experience building collaborative initiatives at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and patient engagement. Having worked in multi-disciplinary teams, he understands the challenges organizations face when it comes to employee health and wellbeing at work. He is also co-founder of Esperity, where he leads projects focused on empowering employees, patients and organizations using data-driven healthcare solutions. Mitch also serves as Chair of EUPATI Belgium, supporting patient education and involvement in healthcare innovation.
